Governor to cozy up to Chico diners
By LARRY MITCHELL - Staff Writer

The breakfast crowd at Chico's Cozy Diner (a small cafe at 1695 Mangrove Ave) can expect a visit from Gov. Schwarzenegger Monday morning. From about 9 to 9:30 a.m., the governor will be shaking hands and talking about the four ballot measures he's promoting in Tuesday's election, said Assemblyman Rick Keene, R-Chico...

...Keene, who has worked with the governor on budget issues, said he suggested that he visit Chico before the election. He reasoned that Schwarzenegger would get good television and newspaper coverage throughout the north valley....

...The plan for the restaurant visit hadn't yet been widely publicized Friday afternoon....

...Officials from the governor's office and Schwarzenegger's special-election campaign wouldn't confirm that the state's chief executive was coming to Chico. They said only that his schedule for Monday hadn't yet been finalized...
