1. I'd like to send them your way
Wonder if the news that people can carry automatic weapons to Obama's speeches in Phoenix has attracted more "freedom - loving" people like this moving into the state?

2. No-one carried "automatic weapons" to an Obama speech.
You are either misinformed or lying. Please stop.

3. Why, that's right, it was a SEMI-automatic rifle...
I don't think the OP is misinformed or lying, just not completely accurate. Geez.

4. The comment was not addressed to the O.P....
who actually is one of the better pro-gun control debaters. (We've had our... umm... 'disagreements', but I certainly hold her/him in good regard).

It was addressed to the first respondant, who appeared to me to be attempting to make a false portrayal of what happened. That subject is a sorely assaulted deceased equine, with the actual facts widely available. At this point I am convinced that s/he is displaying wilful ignorance, or blatent mendacity. I would be quite happy to be proven wrong.

5. Guess I Need To Clarify A Thing Or Two
My last line about missing "the cultural events and festive gatherings" Phoenix offers was intended as, well, "sarcasm". I'm not in favor of making Tucson more "Nazi-friendly". Honest! And I'm pretty sure my fellow Hitler-loving, Black & Jew-hating Skinheaded Brothers and Sisters feel the same way.....

I'M KIDDING, OKAY?

The OP also wasn't intended as a commentary on the RKBA - pro or con. As far as I know, the Nazi assholes weren't packing anyway.

If there is some hidden subtext to the post, it's that Maricopa County is a mecca for the extremist, tea-bagging, racist wing of the Republican Party.

But that's no secret.....

:pals:

6. Marc Maron of Air America is coming to Tempe
Marc Maron will be performing at Madcap Theaters on Mill Avenue (the former Harkins Centerpoint) on April 9-10. Shows will be at 8 & 10pm both nights. Tickets are available online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/103357. I would love to see some progressive support at the shows, and I'm sure Marc would too.
