Kavanagh wants to take our univeristies back to medieval times.
"Since our cuts are going to send ASU back to the Middle Ages, the question is how many monks will they need?" he said.

Kavanagh warmed up to the Middle Ages metaphor, noting that the Department of Chemistry should be changed to the Department of Alchemy."

I ask you: who is a bigger ass, Kavanagh or Pearce?

1. I would go with Pearce
But Kavanagh is really pushing for that #1 spot.

2. Listen to this - my daughter is at U of A.
They are closing the library.
Probably closing the college of architecture - and she's next -
the college of Education. Guess we don't need any teachers after slashing our education budget.

It's unreal how their priorities are so screwed up.

To answer your question - I say Pearce. I've been pissed at him for years.

3. We can always find a few monks to teach, right?
That's what Kavanagh said.

5. It's in the article above...
It was obviously a blatantly insensitive comment that I hope will come back to bite him in the ass.

6. He's a republican
.... in Arizona. Those comments will never bite him in the ass but just get him more pats on the back from his peers. It's sad how we're never really surprised every time we see a product of this republican war on U.S. academics but its just as infuriating every time they do shit like this.
