Write Gov. Napolitano about H1b visas
Stop Governors' Request for More H-1Bs!

Gregoire, Schwarzenegger lead call for increased H-1Bs

Are you sick and tired of hearing elected officials calling for more increases in the H-1B visas? Now we have state governors stabbing IT workers in the back. ACT NOW to Stop H-1B Visa increases!

The Governors of Washington and California have spearheaded a call to Congress to increase the number of H-1B visas allowed per year. Along with Gregoire and Schwarzeneggar, eleven other governors signed the letter presented to the Democratic and Republican leaders of the House and Senate on September 11.

Read the entire article at http://www.techsunite.org/news/display.cfm?ID_Content=5201

These 13 governors all signed the letter:

Janet Napolitano, D-Arizona
Arnold Schwarzenegger, R-California
Bill Ritter, D-Colorado
Mitch Daniels, R-Indiana
Kathleen Sebelius, D-Kansas
Deval Patrick, D-Massachusetts
Tim Pawlenty, R-Minnesota
Jim Gibbons, R-Nevada
Eliot Spitzer, D-New York
Rick Perry, R-Texas
Chris Gregoire, D-Washington
Jim Doyle, D-Wisconsin
Dave Freudenthal, D-Wyoming

I want to let you know I am vehemently opposed to any increase in H-1B visas. The fact that you, as my governor, signed on to a letter to increase H-1B visas is a slap in the face to all IT workers seeking jobs.

To claim there is a critical shortage of highly skilled professionals in math and science is a lie. This myth has long ago been debunked by a Duke University study at http://www.issues.org/23.3/wadhwa.html

I hope you will listen to voters who have to live with the consequences of jobs being given to H-1B visa workers rather than the corporations who want to give our jobs away.
