Sow how does Cheryl Chase repay the party that elected her twice?
Yes, after not one, but two times that Democratic activists and volunteers supported her in her bid for the state House, after twice appearing with the Rioses on the ballot, Cheryl Chase has repayed our party by changing her party registration in a most public of fashion.

(AP) -- State Rep. Cheryl Chase has bolted from the Democratic Party and become a Republican, switching her voter registration at a GOP-sponsored event here Thursday night.

Chase said later that she feels more in tune ideologically with Republicans than Democrats on issues related to family values and natural resources.

"It's just that the (Republicans) party is closer to what I truly am," she said.

Chase signed a new voter registration while on a high school stage with numerous Republican office holders, including U.S. Sen. John McCain.

2. I saw that! grrrrrrrrrr
I heard (read in the Republican) that if she becomes a repig, then they will have the votes they need to vote against Janet. Ugh!
We need to work together, this state IS blue, but if we don't get the right leaders in, we are screwed.

3. they won't-- with her change it's 21-39, they need 40
plus, they need supermajorities in both chambers, and the senate is split like 17-13 or 18-12 or something.
