Kyl demonstrates again how far outside of the mainstream he is:
http://www.fromtheroots.org/story/2005/9/6/1589/92079

"the question is if people know year after year after year a natural disaster occurs in a particular place and people continue to build there and want to live there, should they bear the responsibility of buying insurance or should everyone else bear the responsibility?"

I'm going to enjoy this campaign.

1. Hey Kyle - Next time Arizona is on fire
Be sure to tell that to your constituents. That sure wasn't the line when Show Low was on the brink of becoming charcoal.

2. People do buy insurance
and at a premium I'm sure. Most of the public money will go into rebuilding public infrastructure. Insurance will cover much of the damage to private property. Idiot.

3. Come Get Some
Insurance: yeah, that will air lift you out of harm's way; provide the emergency services you require after an ordeal in a disaster; supply basic human needs until you can get back on your feet.

NO. Insurance is the check you get after everything is over. It is not a substitute for disaster preparedness, emergency response and vital services.

4. If the Katrina victims are able to establish residency in AZ, and I think
we need to agitate to see that they can (City of Phoenix has already made a step in that direction, btw), Bush's BotBoy is going to regret those hideous words.

From my fingers to God's reading glasses...
