The Fairbanks Candlelight Vigil......anybody from here there?

I didn't hear about it until after the fact, or i would have been there. Was anyone from DU there? From what I understand it was supposed to be a small gathering of like 15 or 16. If you were there, did y'all get any media coverage?

1. I heard they were having one

in Fairbanks, Juneau, and Homer, I believe, but I haven't seen any posts about any of them. We had about 120 people at the one here in Anchorage.

3. Wonder if the Fairbanks Daily News Miner covered it?

I haven't been up to BearFlanks in a while.. Glad they did something though, even if it was a small turnout.

I lived in Fairbanks for a couple years and I know there's plenty of Democrats up there! :hug:

BTW.. Hope they aren't still socked in with smoke from those fires.. :o

4. Smoke is bad here recently....

We had one clear day where the wind was blowing pretty badly, and then today was clear because it was raining. But other than that, it has been pretty bad. They won't let us take our kids out here on base.
