Oh, noes! MTV is coming to Hillcrest High School! (Tuscaloosa)

(I don't know the origin of plural "noes," but it seems to be a trend, and I wanted onboard.)

Hillcrest is the school that Roy Johnson was the founding principal of, I think.

And now MTV is going to do some kind of reality show there.

I hope this isn't too embarrassing.

Some big celebrity is supposed to come to town to be this guy's date for the prom. Nobody knows who it is, not even her date.

I think he is the white guy on the right. (I don't especially like the sound of that. ;) )

Got a guess for the superstar? The rumor is that it is some singer named "Taylor Swift," or something. Somebody I never heard of. Maybe it was Taylor Marsh.

Whit Wright has had what he calls “a pretty good year.”

In his first year at Hillcrest High School, he has been point guard in a state basketball championship season, will play shortstop for the baseball team in the state playoffs Friday and is quarterback for the football team.

His senior year is about to get better. He gets to take a celebrity to his senior prom.

Students at Hillcrest High learned of their sudden celebrity status Tuesday, when they were told the school — and Wright — had been chosen to star in MTV’s reality show, “Once Upon A Prom.”

Wright was chosen to be the celebrity’s date, and other senior boys high-fived and shook hands with him after his name was called.
