Clark and The State of the Union Speech
I just heard this on MTP. On the night of the SOTU speech, Clark is having a Town Hall Meeting and he and the people who attend will be watching the speech TOGETHER and then Clark will speak to the Town Hall attendees about the speech in real time! Is this man BRILLIANT OR WHAT??? :bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

3. That is a great strategy
If he does his homework, he can probably figure out which right wing thinktanks' statistics and economic projections Bush is going to be pulling out, so he can debunk them right there... with no one around to accuse him of "fuzzy math."

4. Nothing to see here, people. Move along..........
Ya know, don't ya, that the good general was a registered lobbyist for a high tech company heavily involved in "homeland security issues"

He SHINES at the Town Hall meetings. That was what swayed me from Dean(one of MANY reasons. I watched Clark at a NH Town Meeting. He was awesome! I was his! :)

12. Hey wow, what a cool idea....it's the difference being a professional...
politician (Bush) and someone who actually gives a shit
about the Country.

Man, what a cool thing to do...it could backfire but I applaud
him taking the chance.

We need more of that and less Democrats passing out slanderous
flyers at other Democrats town hall meetings.

So How many top brass that are in the service now were HIS STUDENTS?

17. I look forward to it.
It will be interesting to see what Clark says about Bush's vision when he is somewhat unscripted.

I am hoping that C-Span will record Clark's town hall meeting and then play it the next day. That would be cool.

20. Don't they release subjects from SOTU early?
I'm not knocking it--I think it is a great idea and will play well to Clark's ability to speak intelligently on the spur of the moment. However, don't they release either the text or the talking points before the actual speech?

I dunno how much credibility the media will give Clark on this. I can see them dismissing it as a ploy and nothing but a dog and pony show by Clark. I just don't expect the media to see it for the huge feat that it really is.
