they even had Viet Dinh, young fascist who wrote much of the Patriot Act on, trying to justify (very very poorly) the overcompensation on the side of security over free speech, especially when they cut back to a bunch of CLOWNS goofing off in the street

I wonder what prominant Vietnamese expatriate family, brought over here after the war, that Mr. Dinh belongs to? I wonder what their connection to corrupt South Vietnamese regimes might be?

I am sure there is a very interesting story there, replete with tales of ingrained familial frustration with the anti-war demonstrations. Just betcha.
