Humor as brought to you by Freepers in regards to Bush's chances in OH

Ok, I am bored today, so I'm entertaining myself by reading free republic, and I come across this gem, as theiy are discussing Bush's chances in in Ohio:

Nah, it ain't "tied" at all. Not close. So far, we appear to be pretty safe, but I'm not giving you the numbers.

I'll be back down to BC04 soon and let you know. I'm sure it's tightened somewhat---but that won't make much difference.
Other little indicators tell me OH is wrapped up. For ex., just in bumperstickers, Bush is leading (and I try to do a VERY scientific count) almost 4:1; yard signs, 2:1. There is just no enthusiasm for Kerry.

At first I thought I read something wrong, so I re-read it...nope, they really are counting bumper stickers and yard signs as sign of success?

6. Here in my area
I've seen a lot of Kerry signs (mainly downtown) and a lot of Kerry signs and anti-Bush stickers. Heh. But Tennessee is still a weak Bush state (which is good).

2. Bumpersticker & Yard Sign users are an extreme minority.
VERY different from "normal" people.

3. Yes, and that makes them dangerous
They do it while driving and since they use their fingers to count at the same time, well,.... :scared:

4. Hey give them a break
just counting to them is "scientific". Anything past 10 (or 20 if they're not wearing socks) is higher math.

7. I take my own poll from...
...teh reaction to the signs in the back of my truck. who's to say it isn't accurate, if not necessarily scientific.

11. I'm from Ohio and I beg to differ
From my experience in driving around in several counties the past few weeks from Dayton to Toledo and of course my neighboring counties, I'd say if anything that it is split. Haven't actually counted but it is not overwhelmingly Bush by any means. They can live in LaLa Land if they want. I think Ohio will be close but I think Kerry can pull it out.
