This administration has no idea about what is about to hit them
I really believe that the referendum on this administration's policies and behavior is going to be overwhelmingly positive for Democrats. The same indignation and anger that caused Democrats to vote for the "most electable" (whatever the heck that is) candidate in the primaries is going to drive people to the polls. I have never seen Democrats more unified and singular in purpose. I swear that this is going cause a Tsunami of people who have never voted to wash away the filth from this administration once and for all.

I feel it.

1. Look at the online polls, for example.
Yes, they are non-scientific in assessing candidate support. But they are an excellent measure of whose supporters are more motivated.

The fact that dozens of online polls are 2-for-1 Kerry over Bush, or 2-for-1 Edwards over Cheney, speaks volumes about our enthusiasm.

2. I love that graphic of Bush
It isn't a stretch to imagine him really doing that after the debate last week.

3. Online polls give me that feeling, too
They were so overwhelmingly for Kerry last Thursday and for Edwards last night that I can't believe it's just that liberals are skewing them. After all, internet users are skewed toward toward Republicans. I think it's a groundswell of anti-Bush sentiment among the younger generations, especially the generation that comes after genX (have they got a name yet?), born about 1975 to 1990.

At my Kerry HQ, I've seen a lot of young people, kids even.

4. I feel it too.
I don't remember any polarization in this country for an election like this one.

5. the unbelievable surge in registrations
these people are NOT counted in any polls and the mind boggling amount of people registering this year can only dictate these people are motivated enough to register to vote someone OUT, not IN.

6. It's going to be shocking.
The turnout will be incredible. I've seen more stickers (mostly Kerry), more yard signs (overwhelmingly Dem) in my area than I've ever seen. The one or two Bush signs seem pitiful.

10. I think you're right
I registerred two different people yesterday who were changing their party from Republican to Democrat. Both of them spoke of how disgusted they are with this administrtion. That's always such an encouraging thing. I'm seeing so many young people registerring. They're excited about voting and voting for Kerry. I refuse to get complacent or slow down on working for the campaign but I'm getting a lot of good feelings.
