One thing I've noticed: Edwards looks really good in the media clips
The media takes clips out of the debate - Edwards comes across really strong in those little soundbite clips - far better than Cheney.

I believe he got his message across.

1. Absolutely -- this was above all a TV debate, and Edwards won it --

2. no doubt
The debate showed the past versus the future, fear versus hope, and more of the same versus a fresh start.

3. Any idea what the ratings are?

It could be a big plus if they were low and everyone is getting it from the clips.

Plus, it sounds like "Cheney lies" is going to be the big spin coming out...

4. Edwards is a winner!!
Kerry did the absolute right thing with his VP choice. It was brilliant. You have intelligence, passion, youth, hope and charm all wrapped into one package. The images of John Edwards holding his small children is incredibly powerful. America wants to hope for a brighter tomorrow and John Edwards is a family man with small children. I love him. I absolutely love him. I think the comparison of Edwards and our first JFK with his young children in the WH has been made. He so reminds me of that image of a strong, youthful, hopeful America.

Cheney has one foot in the grave and is incredibly sour. He needs to at least get a Darth Vadar mask so we don't have to see his ugly, fearful mug.

6. Part of what people will remember..

..about the debate is Edward's good looks vs. Cheney's pasty dough-boy face. It's a superficial thing, but maybe as important as what either of them said. Who would you more trust with your children?? Certainly not Cheney!
