Disenfranchised Republicans
After Cheney's performance tonight and squaring it up against Bush's performance...

Did Republicans get what they voted for in 2000? Did they vote for Cheney or Bush? Who is really running things?

1. Daddy? Rummy?
even more scary, ROVE?

No we just saw the president, and he is not much better than the empty suit that Friday will go on to a battle of wits with an armed man (kerry)

2. all I know
is that a B/C 2000 voter who I've been working on for 4 years announced to me today that she is voting for KERRY. :bounce: Unfortunately, she's in ND so it probably won't make a lot of difference.

3. In this disenfranchised Republicans opinion...
Bush was picked by the powers behind this administration as

1) Someone who could be/already was indoctrinated and loyal to their beliefs,
2) Was smart enough to get elected as president, when backed up by the best campaigners money can buy, and
3) Was still dumb enough to not realized what a dupe he is and what the repercussions of his acts will be. (Someone with no empathy towards others would do for the latter part of this one.)

I've long held that, should the proverbial excrement hit the fan, that Bush would be set up to take the big fall, and that I would "almost" feel sorry for him on that day. It's hard to see any dog, even the meanest, get kicked by it's masters.

Just my 2 cents worth.
