Criticizing Edwards performance is counterproductive
We should focus on what he did right in the debate.

We need them elected and taking pot shots at our guy DOES NOT accomplish this.

If Edwards had bombed like Pauly Shore's career, THEN the critics would have a leg to stand on. Expecting him to jump on the table and body slam Cheney to oblivion wasn't going to happen.

What Edwards had to do was exactly what he did; project yang to Cheney's "Mr. Burns" ying. And He gave as good as he got. At the very, very, very worst, it was a draw. But that very, very, worst is still a loss to the W/Cheney ticket. They needed to slay Edwards, and they never came close.
