How long has Bush held a public office before he entered the W.H?
As far as I know - and I know very little about him - his first public office was the governor of Texas, in 1994.

So what do they want from Edwards? I wish that he answered this to Gwen Ifel when she asked him. And he certainly is more knowledgeable in foreign affairs than Bush was in 2000 (or still is).

1. Six years as Gov of Tx. I think. That's it.
It's easy for all of us to play Mon. morning QB. John did a good job, and one person can't say it all in a very short time!

3. Oh, he did great. No doubt about it
but when Gwen Ifel wanted them to talk about themselves, not about their running mates, Cheney did a better job. Edwards kept talking about Kerry, or about "we." But only on this question and, hey, no one is perfect.

In general, I think that Edwards presented a fresh, sunny disposition, even while awfulizing the economy, while Cheney was his dour self.

It was clear that Edwards symbolizes the future while Cheney - the past.

6. He had no foreign experience
except with Fox of Mexico. Remember, shrub couldn't name foreign leaders' names and/or their countries - hell, he couldn't drive from Austin to Crawford without stopping for directions let alone remember where Canada is and who's her PM.
