EDAWARDS WON!!! AND THAT'S NOT SPIN!!!
I've been too busy hitting on-line polls and e-mailing the media to take a look at the topics on GD2004 until now. Imagine my surprise when I stop viewing all these polls where Edwards is absolutely CREAMING Dick, and find that my own colleagues are posting trash about Edwards!

I don't know what planet some of you are from, but Edwards won and the polls bear me out. He was positive, attacked when he had to, called Dick on his lies, brought up Halliburton, and all without looking like a bitter, sneering old fart! He was great. Don't let yourself fall victim to the corporate media's spin! WE WON!!! EMBRACE IT!!!

1. He was quite good. Not great, IMO
He did everything he needed to do and more. But he didn't do everything he could have done.

I'm very pleased with his performance. Cheney wasn't quite as good as I have been lead to believe he would be.

Another winning night for Democrats.

2. Edwards was very good, especially in the first half
He lost some momentum when Gwen Ifill started asking moronic questions, but picked it up again at the end.

Cheney never got his momentum. He seemed nervous talking about Iraq at the beginning. And was uncharacteristically inarticulate most of the time.

Cheney made some great points against his own team about how ineffective they have been in Iraq.

3. He won as far as I'm concerned.
Edwards was charming, lucid, engaging, just like he always is...Cheney lied and mislead, just like he always does. He didn't stammer or drool on the table, so the whores say its a draw. Frankly, the media reaction we're hearing on this debate is what I thought we would hear about Thursday's debate. So what this does is set up a scenario for Friday in Bush's favor...if he shows even a MODICUM of improvement, the mediawhores will proclaim him the victor.

6. I agree..John did great - one problem
I still wish they would address the "I voted before before I voted against"...it is so simple, and it is the one thing that still resonates with undecideds...but overall he did great. Cheney DID hold his own, but I do think Edwards clearly won for the mere fact that he allowed people to see who he really was, and according to the undecideds in the CBS poll, nearly half said their opinion of Edwards improved after the debate. ( http://bushlies2.us/video/rm/vp.undecided.cbs.rm )

24% were also 'SCARED' of the prospect of a Cheney Presidency.

7. Cheney did better
than * because of his demeanor. He did not defend this administrations's policies in Iraq or its dismal jobs record IMHO. I thought Edwards did a good job of attacking, as well as giving real plans for the future.

9. MAJOR HEADLINE: HELLO!!!!!!!!!
Cheney NOW denies that there is any direct connection or evidence suggesting a link between Sadaam Hussein and 9/11. We have WASTED 200 billion dollars, 10s of thousands of lives, and the reputation of our country in invading and occupying Iraq. How much more EVIDENCE do you need that this administration is incompetent, much less needs to be impeached!!!!!

10. I won't hold my breath
waiting for that to appear in the corporate media. However, it should be obvious to people who really listened to the debate. And of course, we already knew that at DU.

11. The truth is no small thing!
9/11 was not connected to Iraq and Saddam. This is the biggest lie of them all. It's called Propaganda. It was used as a ruse to take us to war. I know you all know that. But our boy Edwards said it over and over. It was important.

12. Edwards had 3 or 4 "magical TV moments". Voter Connect MegaMojo
when he was making what Western mystics would call "Mass Intermedial Auric Resonance," or some shit like that.

More plainly put, Edwards had several transcendental moments in the debate where via speech his soul reached out to connect -- in a respectful manner -- with any and every other soul out there in TV Land who was the least bit open to being receptive.

it happened. I felt it, and I know many other who did as well.

Maybe not consciously, but at least unconsciously many voters will have a deep memory of those moments -- for they were extraordinary, and heartening.

Edwards definitely has VCMM - Voter Connect MegaMojo
