I think it's a draw, but Edwards is new to people...
He's better looking and more energetic. He's being introduced to the American public.

Remember, only Democrats have been really following Edwards.

1. you can't say it's a draw
when one of the debaters doesn't even answer a question.

3. I don't agree.
Cheney is blah. Edwards seems to be more connected to the issues that effect people like me. Cheney is obviously on the side of the corporate crooks, and that just doesn't appeal to me. I do think this is a very good debate. At least these guys are more evenly matched.

4. I think it will be rated a draw, but the pundits will call it for Cheney
and influence opinion over the next few days

5. He started off bad. Like Bush started off good. But steadily Edwards has
gotten better. I don't see it as a Cheney win right now. A draw sounds like a cop-out. But I honestly don't think anyone is coming away with this thing.

6. Cheney is doing far better than Bush
But there's no escape from the fact he's Darth Vader + Palpatine, and Edwards is Luke Skywalker.

It's not a draw, but Cheney is stronger foe.

7. Edwards is winning big
forgetting about Cheney, Edwards is way exceeding any expectations.

Way better than during the primaries, because he's not holding anything back.

And totally blowing the "Breck Girl" nonsense out of the water. He seems MORE informed than Cheney, as well as more honest.

9. You are right. It will be PERCEIVED that way by middle America.
So far, at least. We have to accept reality, after all.

11. It's a draw: worst case scenerio, or an edwards win
which is how I think the public will take it.

Cheney isn't on meltdown but he's not winning.

16. Hey, maveric...
What the hell does the number of posts have to do with my opinion. Does the number of posts make you smarter than me.

Wake up dumbass, and take off the blinders. Edwards is doing very well, but he is not blowing Cheney out of the water. What does it matter what we think?

17. I have 1400 posts and I think Cheney is cleaning Edwards' clock
But objectivity takes a back seat around here during the debates.

18. Yeah, but Edwards should be on fire. He's not
Come on. I have to admit that I am disapponted, but maybe my expectations were too high.

I'd still say Edwards did better, but I really wanted more inspiration.

Did Carville help coach him? I think Kerry was more energetic than Edwards has been. Not what I expected.
