Questions you'd like to see a "town haller" ask of Bush?
(1) If you were for the Vietnam war, why didn't you ask to be placed into active service during Vietnam?

(2) If you believe in war in Iraq as much as you say you do, why don't you encourage either of your daughters to enlist and join in that fight?

(3) Isn't war a time of sacrifice? What sacrifices are you asking of the American people during this time of war, and why do you think it is proper to request a tax cut during a time of war?

(4) What is your plan to cut U.S. deficit in the next 4 years?

(5) Do you have a plan to replace jobs lost to outsourcing, with full time jobs that include health care and other benefits?

(6) Why do you think that gay people should not be allowed to get married, and why do you think that their marriage would affect the sanctity of your marriage?

3. If you are a friend of ordinary people
Why do you oppose making healthcare more accessible to those can't afford it?

Why do you oppose the importation of cheaper prescription from Canada, despite the fact that they've never been shown to more harmful or less safe than prescription drugs here?

Then, how do you feel you can create a science policy for all Americans if you yourself reject science and embrace an apocolyptic worldview?

59. I think that one is a killer
Wow, what could he say? "No" makes him look like a total ignoramus, and "yes" pisses off the evangelicals. "Maybe" ain't good enough, as well as "I allow for both points of view".

I don't see how that one can be answered.

20. If you care about children, why did you stay in the school on 9/11?
For all you knew, giving you the benefit of the doubt, the terrorists could have hijacked a plane and slammed it into that school, killing many children while you were there. Why would you endanger the lives of children?

Or did you stay at the school because you knew you weren't a target? If so, how did you know you weren't a target? After all, at the time, 3,000 planes were still in the air and the FAA did not know which if any had been hijacked.

(With liberal borrowing from David Ray Griffin's The New Pearl Harbor)

22. More that I'd like to see answered
(1) why don't you want the American people to have access to the Vice President's energy policy group's meeting minutes? Don't we have a right to know who is being allowed a seat at the table at these meetings, and potentially shaping our energy policy?

(2) Do you believe that questioning the Iraq war, and pointing out our mistakes, is tantamount to helping the enemy? If so, then when, if ever, does an American citizen have a right to question what they believe to be immoral and criminal governmental acts?

(3) Do you actually know how many insurers have been driven out of business because of lawsuits, and have you ever filed a lawsuit?

(2) why did you have to have Cheney go with you to answer the 9/11 commission's questions?

(3) if we were wrong about the stockpiles of WMDs in Iraq, why hasn'tanyone who made the estimates and reports about the stockpiles get fired?

(4) why did you stay on vacation in Texas in August 2001, after receiving a report called "Bin Ladin Determined To Strike In The U.S."

31. Mr. Presidunce...why are you so busy in pretending to spread Democracy
and freedom throughout the world, but yet advocate the Patriot Act and now have the Patriot Act II in legislation? You were cited three times that you wish this were a dictatorship:

===========================================================
"You don't get everything you want. A dictatorship would be a lot easier." Describing what it's like to be governor of Texas.
(Governing Magazine 7/98)

-- From Paul Begala's "Is Our Children Learning?"

"I told all four that there are going to be some times where we don't agree with each other, but that's OK. If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator," Bush joked.

-- CNN.com, December 18, 2000

"A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it, " said.

-- Business Week, July 30, 2001
===========================================================

Would you like to explain that for me sir and why we should give up our rights on this bogus war on terror?

49. Id ask him about the deficit and how he can lower taxes
Id ask him that considering that right now 30% of our federal deficit goes towards paying interest on the national debt, and considering that we have huge deficits again, how can he rationally explain to people that he is going to cut more taxes? Wouldnt this just create more of the federal budget going towards paying interest and not going towards anything constructive?

Or I'll ask him about James Bath ;)
