4. I like that little buried bit where monkeyboy says
"Think about that now." This is approximately the last thing he wants his voters to do.

6. Randi Rhodes today
is very upset about all this "global test" rhetoric. I can't get on to give her this article, from Slate, with an excellent retort.

Check out "The Global Test - It's called reality. By William Saletan"

What's more dangerous... a plan... or NO PLAN?

9. Argh.
"Bush played off Kerry's position that any US preemptive military action ought to pass a "global test," claiming that the senator was giving other nations a veto over Washington's use of force.

"Think about that now: Our most solemn duty is to protect you. Can you imagine taking an international poll of nations to determine whether or not we need to protect you?" the president asked rhetorically."

I don't think even Republicans are dumb enough to actually think that is a) what Kerry said or b) what he intended. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find words to express how much I despise this man.

12. It will be interesting to see if the "Hillarycare"
thing gets any traction.

The threat to world peace thing is simply hilarious. Kerry opposed a war, but is a threat to world peace?

Bush is definitely going to come out swinging on Friday, you can see it now. If he takes his best shots and Kerry still beats him, he's going to be in very bad shape.

14. When did W go 'Pro-Choice'? Look at what he said....
"I believe that decisions ought to be made by you and your doctor. My opponent believes that the federal government ought to be making the decisions," Bush told cheering supporters the Iowa capital of Des Moines.

That's the pro-choice line...it's not the federal government's decision!!

15. One thing about this that is huge:
it's focusing on issues, not making personal attacks on Kerry. The monkey got his hand burned, and is apparently going to shift his approach at least some.

17. I have a one word answer for Bush* "Poland"
Yes, the Pres's big world-power ally has said they are pulling out. He is such an ass. At the debate, he hemmed and hawed around Lehrer's question concerning Dick's comment about Kerry making terrorist attacks more likely, then he goes out and says this. What a maroon.
