Halloween Mask Salses and Website Poll Predict Bush Will Win(du this poll)
Halloween Mask Salses and Website Poll Predict Bush Will Win Presidential Election

Bush Halloween Masks outsell Kerry Masks 55% to 45% at www.anniescostumes.com and Bush also wins website poll.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) October 4, 2004 -- Leading Halloween Website www.anniescostumes.com today announced the results of their fourth Presidential Election Projection based on Halloween Mask sales. In the last three Presidential elections, the mask with the most sales through the Annie’s Costume website and retail network has correctly predicted the election winner. “We have been using the mask sales to predict the election winner for the last three Presidential Elections and the results have been accurate three times in a row, so this year we predict a slim victory for George W. Bush, 55% to 45%.” Said Harold Maxwell, President of Annie’s Costumes.

Annie’s Costume’s sister site www.extremehalloween.com added a poll to their customer newsletter which was sent to over 37,000 people this year. Poll results also predict a slim victory for the current President. “Over 3,800 people have responded to our website poll and we asked them ‘Who do you think will win the Presidential election this November? Vote now for the winning mask’ in this poll President Bush received 57.4% of the votes to John Kerry’s 43.6%.” Said Shari Maxwell, WebMistress and Vice President Marketing for Extreme Halloween.

1. Hmmm, does that mean Nixon should have won in'92 and '96?

I remember that Ronnie Raygun and Tricky Dick masks were very popular for halloween in '90's - far more than the actual candidates/president/ect during those years. The Bill Clinton masks only became popular after the Monica incident.

Of course, this is all just ancedotal, isn't it?

On edit - by the way, the "dubya" mask looks a heck of alot like a Nixon mask that's been mated with a Ronnie mask. Not even anything close to the old GHWB masks that had a sputterning popularity during his attempt to reign...

2. Don't people get masks
to be scary and/or joking around? My brother joked around earlier how me and him should go as Bush and Kerry. He wants to go as Bush so he could use his punchlines (it's hard work and I know how the world works etc). LOL (he's antiBush). :bounce:

5. You'd think so! Why would anyone want to make fun of John Kerry?
He's a great guy.

You'd wear the mask of someone you see as being scarey, or strange. Otherwise, what's the point? It's Halloween, f'r goodness sakes.

3. Do they sell Nadir masks anywhere?
Which would be spookier: wearing one or having to see it at your door?

Gawd, what a fright!

4. Watch the sales of Kerry masks fly out the door now.
Unless they want it for a fright mask.

6. Uh oh. By this logic...
We're going to elect the guy from The Scream president. Couldn't be any worse, really.

7. Yes, because all those W masks are sold to W fans, right?
What a bunch of nonsense.

Christ, that Kerry mask doesn't even look like Kerry! Looks like a melted Reagan.

8. The masks
don't look very good. Bush looks like Nixon...and the Kerry mask, well that just doesn't look a damn thing like him.

Halloween is a time to dress scary. I'd imagine a lot of liberals would buy the mask and scare each other.

Remember it's always more fun dressing up (or acting) like the super villain rather than the hero.

10. The Bush mask looks like a recycled Nixon mask. It's a darn sight
scarier anyway! :hi:
