Much Clearer Video of Kerry's Pre-Debate Jacket Move & Object Removal

I think this website is rightwing, but the video is interesting and clearer and much better than anything else I have seen so far:

You know what, looking at this, I would not be surprised if what we are seeing here IS Kerry getting out some notes. That is what it looks like to me.

But maybe the rules were modified at the last moment. Who knows?

The question is, will the press ask him about this? Will this issue go mainstream? I do not think so....

You know, later in the debate, Kerry was quite clearly writing stuff down, taking notes as Bush was speaking. This is probably whatever it was he was writing on.

Kerry pulls the card out of his jacket while his back was turned to the audience. Since he turns to his right, he can't use his right hand to reach into his left coat pocket, or else the audience would easily see the inside of his coat as he turns, and thus see what he's doing. The solution: stick the card in his RIGHT coat pocket, so that when he simultaneously turns and reaches with his LEFT hand, the coat itself obscures the hand. It helps that the podium is now between him and the audience.

Kerry isn't quite fast enough and winds up showing his card to the audience for a bit, but the motion is fluid and obscured enough that nobody off stage notices it.

That's the 'note'. Looked to me like he was taking out a pen. He could possibly have been taking out a handkerchief. Lehrer was sitting a few feet from him. I think he would have noticed him pulling out notes.
