Wis. Woman's obit endorses Kerry
Oct. 1, 2004 | Madison -- Send no flowers to commemorate Jane Buffett's death, her husband asks. Instead, send John Kerry to the White House.

In a paid obituary published in Madison's two daily newspapers, Roger Buffett celebrated his wife's years as a mother, homemaker, grandmother and English teacher. But, he said, she was "outraged" by President Bush's decision to invade Iraq and then expecting "her grandchildren to pay the bills." Other Bush administration policies angered her as well.

"She saw John Kerry as the candidate who would most conserve everything she valued," the obituary said. "Jane fought to live long enough to be able to vote this November. To honor her memory, please do everything you can to elect John Kerry."

(snip)

It's an AP report but I read it at:

1. That's wonderful
Best obituary I've read. Rest in peace, Mrs. Buffett -- we'll know you're smiling down on us the day Kerry is inaugurated. :)

2. see, even dead people support Kerry
I wish they'd be a little more outspoken- how about a 'Dead Kerry-Voters for Truth' 527?

4. How intense is the love of one's country
that good people want to rid this nation of the evil that is George Bush.

This is the second obit I read in DU.

The other was a Woman in Florida about 3 months ago.

I remember that the Rabbi wouldn't grant her the wish she wanted in death, to vote against George Bush.

If anyone has that link, could you please post it, also.
