Just got home from a mini-"Octoberfest" down at the lakeside tavern here
in the heart of Fire-engine-red bible-thumping territory (eastern OK),
chatted with quite a few people, mostly ones I know who live on the lake...most of them saw the debate and were very favorably impressed with JK and either shocked or disappointed at the Chimp's performance (mostly the scowling, glaring, etc.) One guy who always gives me a hard time for being a "liberal" said Kerry didn't seem to be the crazy eastern librul that "everyone" has been calling him. I wouldn't imagine this guy would vote for him -yet- but I sense a willingness to consider it that most certainly didn't exist a week ago around here. I got my printer cranking out copies of JK talking points & positions, gonna go back down there after a while and hand 'em out. I don't expect Kerry to win in Oklahoma but it can't hurt to try to influence voters...it might help to keep Coburn out of the Senate. There are a lot of registered Dems here who will be more apt to vote Dem in a senate race than they would for Prez.

2. Fence-sitters around here pretty scarce but there are a LOT of apolitical
idiots. (I guess you could call them fencers, in a way, though)

Maybe 3 to 5 percent??..just a WAG.
;-)

3. I'd be happy to see a shift of % votes for * in swing states.
