Bush has no plan for Iraq.
"Yes, but he's resolute."

Bush has no plan for the economy.

"Yes, but he's resolute."

Bush has problems putting two coherent sentences together.

"Yes, but he's resolute."

Bush has alienated the rest of the world.

"Yes, but he's resolute."

Bush let Osama get away.

"Yes, but he's resolute."

Bush has no plan for healthcare.

"Yes, but he's resolute."

A 12 year old could have done as well in the debate.

"Yes, but he's resolute."

Bush got us into Iraq foolishly and needlessly.

"Yes, but he's resolute."

Bush has been in office for four years. He has lost almost a million jobs. More people live in poverty than when he entered office. The country is mired in a losing effort in Iraq. The stock market is down by almost 50%. What, exactly, has being resolute gotten us?

"A steady, resolute leader brings value to the table you can't measure with results."

An actual discussion with a Republican acquaintance. I simplified it somewhat, but this is pretty much accurate. I even summarized it for him like this, and he agreed that was what he said. He's a fairly bright guy. He even knows what he's saying is bullshit, but it's the party line, and he won't deviate from it.

1. The only thing he's resolute about is continuing down a failed
course of action.

3. He hasn't really failed !
Look at the PNAC agenda ! They have accomplished several of their stated objectives. And they are well on their way in several others.

Domestically, also successful ! How many unions did he bust with his homeland security tactic. And the deficit always works for the wealthy elite. It's not their money, and because of his tax cuts, they wont help pay it down ! They don't live paycheck to paycheck, so they don't feel the crunch. Hell, most of 'em don't really have jobs! They got rich off the work of others. One million jobs gone ? Also good !!! Cheap labor !!!

So, don't think for one minute that *bush has failed, to the contrary, he has done quite well for himself and his cronies !

5. I don't call those objectives a success

Maybe short term successes for the elite, but you have to look long term. Bush is even bad for the elite.

9. No, of course you don't.....
Because it's a mess. A fuckin' disaster. That is why we can't lose this election ! It will take at least eight years to "fix" the cluster fuck these madmen have PURPOSELY created. Just look at history for the blueprint. Although they may look like a bunch of bumbling idiots these guys know EXACTLY what they are doing.

2. Asked the same question tonight about Bush's plans
I said to hubby, you know they keep demanding Kerry spell out his plans for Iraq. But, just what exactly IS Bush's plan? I've never seen it.

If voters are to be informed, they should have the facts and be able to make comparisons. "Staying the course" can't be evaluated unless you know what the course is! So...what/where is Bush's plan? Wasn't he supposed to be laying it out earlier this year over a five week period and then dropped it after two?

4. The media continue to pound away on that line.
"Kerry's plan lacks specifics." I haven't seen Bush's plan at all, but he's given a free pass. I suppose being "resolute" is so powerful, so all encompassing, that it obviates silly things like plans.

6. He stated his course clearly....
Endless war and a blank check to pay for it ! He said this numerous times, starting a few days after 9/11 !!! They have no intentions of EVER leaving Iraq !!! Didn't you hear John Kerry mention the 14 PERMANENT military(halliburton) bases being built there now ? Ya don't build that many installations if you're planning to leave. Ever heard of the Phillipines ? When did we "liberate" them ? The late 1800s ? When did we leave ?
