DU this CNN Poll! "Do you think the (CNN) media was fair post debate"
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 06:30 PM by SoCalDemocrat
DU this and keep it bumped. They will announce the results at the end of this segment!

Since this is on CNN, and CNN did a horrible job, I'm interpreting the question to be a litmus test of CNN's coverage. The answer is a resounding NO!

CNN is fishing here with this ambiguous poll. They want it to come out balanced then they can claim their reporting is balanced. Everyone vote NO and email the host and tell them why you voted NO, because CNN's coverage is biased and not at all fair.

Contact Anderson Cooper and point out why CNN has provided poor and biased covereage using this form online:

Here is one biased report they published:

Here is another:

Here is a new one they just published that's even worse. Read the emails that the published. They are all pro-Bush!

3. My email

Note if you want your feedback read on the air, be a bit more focused and less critical than I am here...

The post-debate coverage afforded by CNN has been poor to say the least. I found it one sided and biased against Senator Kerry. Your news agency should stop hugging Fox News coat tails and return to doing real journalism, then you might actually see your ratings go up for a change.

4. Bad question........
Does it mean they (the media) were fair to bascially declare Kerry the winner, or fair in dimishing the win by downplaying his performance, and making excuses for Bush's performance ?

9. Frame the question by attacking in your email to the shows host

If you are succinct and question specific CNN sources it's possible they will read your email on the air, or publish it later.

So slam them with email on this and let them know this poll is being turned into a litmus test of CNN and their biased coverage of the debate!

8. My thought exactly.
If they'd asked "Was CNN fair?" it changes the answer for me, but the media in general gave the win to Kerry...so I voted yes and then sent them another nastygram for letting the buttsniffin' Bill Schneider on as an "analyst". I wish that old PNAC bastard would retire.

11. exactly!!!
I think they did a bad job by buffing up Bushco and a Bushcovite would think they did a bad job by not calling Bushco a clear winner. If you answer yes are you a Bushcovite who was thankful that they whored for the pResident or a Kerry supporter who was surprised that they didn't call it a homerun for the pResident?

So very typical of a CNN poll.

10. Anderson is so cute.
Done and done.
I said it was like 1960 all over again. If you watched the debate, Kerry won. If not, the media will tell you it was a tie.

13. They weren't- Kerry won much more clearly than they've reported. BUT-
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 06:33 PM by BullGooseLoony
I think we oughta take what they gave us, and say yes. We can't destroy the credibility of their "Kerry won" conclusion.

Think about it this way: Bush supporters are voting "no."

15. Let everyone vote NO

That will skew the poll and force them to read their email feedback. They'll get the message.

If the poll ends up balanced, they won't care as much about the email.

One of the commentators (a black guy, I dont know is name) stated...

"Bush seemed to be armed with many details tonight......"

I yelled, cursed, and then stumped my toe....

After turning off that drool... I came in here an logged in to DU....

18. I told them about this mornings show with Bush talking
for 10-15 min unspinning his questions from last night and obviously reading notes written by Rove. Said how unfair it was that they showed him that long and didn't show Kerry at all!
