Thread on Debate Responses to Cheney Attacks
Please post them here...

In response to a Cheney attack on the trial lawyer issue, Edwards should say, "You know, Dick, this is really unbelievable. Never in my whole life would I think that I'd encounter a Vice President of the United States who attacks someone because of his job. It makes me wonder what you think of the men and women of this country who work hard every day just to make ends meet.
I'm proud of who I fought for and what I fought for before being elected to the United States Senate. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
For these reasons, I will not expose my opponent's former job and business practices for partisan political gain."

2. response
I would think that one whose job was Halliburton exec, would be hesitant in binging up such a childishly ridiculous topic.

3. Cheney would.
Cheney's got the soul of a mafia hit man. If the subject comes up, Edwards would be wise to use a little wit and leave the question open, something on the order of, "I disagree, Mr. Cheney. Trial lawyers are often required, in the course of defending ordinary citizens, to expose the failings of corporations and the corruption of their leadership."
