About the leash comment...
that * made, referring to his daughters...

I found it a little scary, and I'm wondering: if others reacted as I did, particularly women, could this affect the women's vote?

1. Sure, but it may be offset by gains in the S&M community vote.

2. Interesting quote:
"No president who has presided over Abu Ghraib should ever say he wants to put anyone on a leash."

4. Sorry but......
I think more Moms will consider it cute. Then again I am the most cynical person I know. I think most people just don't get it.

8. I think for me it wasn't just the words, but the way he said it...with
sort of a snicker. It just gave me a bit of a shiver.

9. Oh no--You are absolutely right
It was extremely creepy. But it appears that there are at least 50% of the public who just don't read Bush the way you and I do. I for the life of me can't understand it or explain it. I suspect it's just because they aren't as perceptive as we are.

11. Maybe it was a tip of the hat to Teddy Roosevelt. He said, "I can either
run this country or control Alice (his eldest daughter who made Jenna look like a rank amateur). I can't possibly do both at the same time."
