I'm listening to C-Span and all you can hear are excuses for Bush. They keep bringing up 9/11 and that Bush acted the way he did because of either this or that.

He lost the debate because he is an Idiot and he cannot put two sentences together on his own.

Come on right wingers your man is a damn idiot!

1. They won't stop
They are too hateful and/or greedy to ever abandon Bush.

2. They'll never stop
because that's the hallmark of the Bush administration to begin with -no accountability.

3. It's really bizarre
This cycle of codependency and enabling. Bush is an idiot who has been cossetted and pampered his entire life. The rightwing supposedly believes in the myth of self-reliance and the self-made man. Yet they adore this spoiled brat who failed at everything he ever did and would be living in a gutter somewhere (or more likely dead) if his daddy wasn't George H. W. Bush.

They fail to realize that the more they excuse his countless failures, the less reason he has to stop failing.

5. There are people right here on DU making excuses for Bush
I just replied to a post in which the poster stated that Bush was not responsible for the deaths in Iraq because he was just a stupid tool. I refuse to give him an out like that. We need to hold him responsible and quit giving him the same outs that he's been given all his life - "oh, he's just a harmless idiot", "Cheney's the one who's really in charge", "all * does is campaign - he doesn't set policy".

Which is all BULLSHIT! He IS in charge, he DOES set policy and he IS an idiot - huh, well, that one is right but he's not harmless - anyway, it's his watch and his responsibility. Sometimes, we're as guilty of that as the right.
