"Kerry kept mentioning Bush's father" - National Review

Kerry kept mentioning Bush's father — how good he was, as compared with 43.

I'm sure that one of our esteemed members suggested this strategy.

Brilliant!!

9. That's bound to play well with true Conservatives isn't it
That Kerry would praise one of their own for being good in foreign policy. Heck, Kerry has even said how brilliant Nixon was in foreign policy.

Kerry the non-partisan -- how refreshing. I love it.

Sell it to your moderate Republican friends, boys and girls.

2. I thought it was great
when Kerry used his own father against him with the war on Iraq. Haha.

3. "Kept mentioning"?
I recall ONE mention of Poppy Bush.

Just ONE.

And that was enough.

(Let me know if I'm wrong, and JK mentioned Bush41 more than once.)

5. Yep, once only. But to them it probably sounded like a horrible
echo chamber where the echos get louder.

10. No, I think he said it a couple of times when referring
to how Bush senior had built a true coalition. You might be right though, I'll read the transcript. As long as it sounded like he was getting scolded by Poppy's presidency, that is enough for me.

4. That's great (I didn't see the debate yet)
I remember several DUers mentioning the idea the other night.

7. I mentioned it about four days ago (brushes dirt off shoulder)
I can't do a search for the old post, but in it I said that praising HW would cause W's feelings of always failing to live up to his father's achievements to bubble to the surface.

To be completely honest, though, I basically stole it from "Bush on the Couch," which lays out Bush's warped mind for all to see.

8. Hilarious to astrologers because shrub's saturn was sitting on him last
night (opression by dad).

Next debate is an ECLIPSE!!! Considered to be bad for kings.

shrub is toast!
