check out American Forum...you remember that bait and switch site that invited liberals on just to ban them a week later?
>> 9:29 PM: Advantage Bush -- that held till the end of the debate
Kerry: "I made a mistake in how I tallked about the war in Iraq.
President Bush made a mistake by deciding to invade Iraq."
That's was good line........
How is that a good line? It's an outright lie.
By voting against the $87 billion, Kerry did a hell of a lot
more than make a mistake in how he worded his verbal criticisms
of the war.
Bush's best line came in the following exchange:
Lehrer: He said you lied...does that raise your hackles?
Bush: No, I'm a pretty calm guy.
I think Bush is going to come away from this one with a significant
advantage. You couldn't tell what Kerry was trying to say.
Kerry brushed aside the fact that Polish special forces were integral
in winning the conventional stages of the war even after Bush tried
to remind him. Kerry came damn close to blowing off Great Britain.
The most memorable filp-flop (and guaranteed to be in a future ad)
HE says we're gonna push aside China, South Korea and Japan and go
straight to North Korea...as in unilateral?. Is this the guy
who can supposedly make us more respected in the world?
Another soon to be famous flip-flop:
Kerry says he went to see the KGB HQ underneath TREBLINKA square?
.............
Has CNN ever had a poll that didn't come out slanting left?

Well I will give my opinion...which is simply that an opinion.
First off I don't think Bush handled the "composure" issue as well as he should, there were moments when he looked flustered and there were moments when he jumped the gun a little indicating impatience.
I tihnk they both had an equal time of going over the red-light, but Bush went over longer than Kerry did, to his fault.
He also hesitated and fumbled a little to much, I don't think he made good use of his time and it was obvious he was trying to appear controlled (when it seems like he just wanted to let it rip).
Overall on composure I give Kerry a 5 and Bush a 3.
Regarding content I thought Kerry sounded clear and it seemed he knew what he was talking about (which is a strong debate tactic) but his substance was often contradictory and often out dated. The entire nuclear proliferation issue he even referenced to a JFK policy and it is obvoius he has no friggin clue how to deal with terrorist, its as if he wants us to go back to a pre 9|| policy and world and that is just not possible.
Besides that he contradicted himself on Saddam Hussein being a threat, sending a negative issue to our allies and the whole bilaterial issue with Korea and Iran, besides simply giving us some wrong information.
Bush knew the substance issue, he has stayed the course and it is obvious he has much better experience with Foriegn leaders. He made no contradictions and did not leave himself open for much as Kerry did.
On Substance I give Kerry a 3 and Bush a 5.
As far as campaign plugs it was pretty well even, the difference being that Kerry dredged up some issues that he should have left in the cup, namely the "I served" issue, its like he can't get out of Viet Nam and he desperately needs to, someone needs to show him a calender and circle 2004. He did manage to repeat his campaign mantra which is good.
Bush managed to use the campaign rhetoric to damage Kerry, its was obvious that the "flip-flop" stigma is not going away and in Bushs favor he was able to prove the point.
For campaign plugs I give Kerry 2 and Bush 3
Which gives me a grand total of Kerry 10 Bush 11...so I think Bush won and now you have my reasons. They have a whole forum devoted to this groupthink.
