I also noticed that. On cspan it was split screen. The lights weren't off, and Kerry wasn't interrupting him, and I'm assuming neither was Lahrer. I think he was using it as a tactic to make it seem like Kerry was interrupting him, because he expected noone would split screen(it was in the contract not to split screen i believe)
