The Likable-and-Respectful Trap: Kerry Must Avoid it.
Edited on Thu Sep-30-04 07:30 PM by Jim Sagle
The TV hoes constantly rim w because he's so "likable" and warn Kerry to be "respectful." This is not only a rimjob on w but a psych job on Kerry. He needs to ignore this ill-intentioned advice. He needs to show DISrespect, but in a thoroughly profesisonal manner. He knows how to do this. He's been doing it for several weeks now. His "world of fantasy and spin" is a masterful slogan. It hasn't caught on because the media have lit a match to it and sent it down the memory hole, along with his fine convention speech.

The punditzes have reminisced on how the easy-going Reagan trounced the wonkish Carter and Mondale. What they don't remind you of is that Carter and Mondale were not only wonks, they were soft.

But Kerry is hard. He's a ruthless killer when he needs to be. He needs to show his assassin side tonight. Because w's the soft one. That needs to be demonstrated. If Kerry does this, all the media spin in the world won't put Humpty Wumpty back together again.

2. Agreed. Professional but harsh
He's been on the right track the last couple weeks. If he can maintain this he'll kick ass. I don't think chimp can last 90 minutes

4. TV is full of shit
and trying to "Gore" Kerry by insisting that he be nice to the Chimp.

Gore was too mean in his first debate and took bad advice and was too nice in the second.

Kerry needs to kick ass and kick it good. No matter what Kerry does, it's wrong per Big Media.

5. Exactly. This is a whore setup that he can't win. They're saying
that to win, John Kerry has to turn into Jay Leno. Even if Kerry got a labotomy and put on a leno mask, the whores would say he should have been likable like Johnny Carson.

Kerry needs to dhow the same characteristics that got him where he is and nothing more. If he does that, he wins.
