Hey DU! What network will you be watching debate & post-debate coverage?
Sure, it's stomach-churning to watch the spin after the debates, but we've gotta watch it to see if we can win the message wars.

So which network will everyone be watching? I'm an ABC-CBS person, myself.

I don't think I could take any of the others deciding for me why * was so wonderful. They got their orders.

3. I'll be at a debate party
and I don't know what channel they'll pick... I'd pick PBS or C-Span. I am feeling very nervous about this debate, not because I am worried about John Kerry's performance (I am not... Even a banana could win against Dubya), but about the spin cycle post-debate and how people will ingest it tonight and tomorrow (in the papers).

I wish somebody would spike Dubya's water with a heavy dose of stool softener so he'd crap all over his pants tonight and fart...

4. Not sure...
But I definitely won't be watching the Lineup of the Damned on CNN...the last thing I want is Candy, Judy, Wolf and Paula foaming over Chimpo and declaring him the winner.

I'll probably watch MSNBC, only for Ron Reagan, unless Tweety gets too orgasmic.

5. Flipping
I'll be curious to see what kind of "scrolls" are offered onscreen during the debate, and how it's spun after on all the networks. I'll be flipping.

8. Mostly cspan. They are having a call in after the debate.
I'll be interested to hear what actual people thought. Yes, I know some very biased people manage to get through, but I still prefer it to the spinmeisters.

I'd rather hear their comments too. Even the nutjobs, because they sound sooo stuuupid.

16. Ditto, to watching the debates on C-SPAN,
and I really look forward to the calls after the debates. The moderators TRY to keep it one caller from * side, one caller from the Kerry side. I feel C-SPAN is the only channel to watch, they stick up a camera and let whatever happens happen. Will they get the camera shots of FOX also??? or will they have their own camera???

19. Here's the story from a guest on cspan this morning re cameras.
I don't remember his name but he was a retired NBC event producer who worked on all the presidential campaigns from 1974 to 1996.

He said there are 2 sets of cameras. The pool cameras that are controlled by one network, and another group of cameras that belong to the individual networks. BTW, all the different networks take turns with who has the pool cameras, and it was FOX's turn this time.

The network cameras are supposed to be capped (lense covered), but that's where the comment came from that said the networks will not agree to obey the agreement signed by the two campaigns. Smiling all the time, he said that "OOPS! Sometimes those caps just seem to fall off!"

He didn't mention what other networks were going to have their own cameras thee, but I'm asuming cspan will be one of them.

15. Yep, that'll do it for me, too
It's just going to be damn near unbearable to witness the spinning that'll take place after this one.

21. Oh Yea, I almost forgot about the Daily Show. Will Jon be
talking about the debates already tonight? I would think not, since they only start at 9:00PM. What's going to be on Comedy Central?

18. I think I'm going to a movie. Otherwise I'll have a stroke from stress
I'm too nervous to watch it real time. I'll Tivo it then check in here when I get home to see how it went. Knowing that no matter what happens it'll be spun into a Kerry negative is too hard to bear. I'm such a wimp.

My husband will be at a debate party in Kansas City though, so one of us at least will see it real time.
