Jr has lost the debates already
the story? The rules.

Who has the negative association with too many rules? the right.

Rove has blown the pre-round by broadcasting his fear of a superior opponant.

1. Ohh the rules Rove plans on breaking, hoping that Kerry does the same
so that he can spin his Chimp master as victor because Kerry broke the rules..... It's a fucking debate America, rules are for cowards (Freepers)

3. Well, it's called a debate..
in reality it'll just be Smirk repeating the same pablum he uses in his well scripted heavily controlled 'town meetings'..

2. For a group that hates lawyers, they sure know how to utilize them.
Use them, and then deprive the other side from doing the same.

4. The media analysis is where the real debate takes place.

Very few people will pay attention to the candidates. Americans despise W's smarmy bullshit, and fall asleep during Kerry's lengthy expositions. A few minutes after the last words of the debate are spoken, the TV audience will shake ourselves awake and hope to have it boiled down for us by responsible media analysts. As if it were some kind of NFL game, where the score is already posted, and all we need to see are the highlights from memorable plays to tell us why...

As such, W has already won.

The pre-debate spin is just a bunch of lowered expectations for W.

The post-debate spin will be about how W transcended those expectations, lasting the full 90 minutes and preventing the "knockout punch" from a professional debater by strongly holding ground.

Unless Kerry sighs. Or turns orange. Or wears argyle socks. In which case, it will be all about Kerry's colossal protocol blunders.

5. rules?
Fully scripted Q + A, no follow up questions, no room for improvisation, no chance of hearing or seeing Bushisms.

No, Jr hasn't lost.

Thanks to his representatives lobbying and Kerry's staff's concessions, it is more likely that W has "won" again.

God save the USA!
