It's too late for George W. to cash in on a Hail Mary Osama Capture!
We supposedly have surveillance devices that can read newsprint from space and trace cell phone calls in mere seconds.

We have supposedly instructed every soldier, ally, and intelligence staffer to find the extremely tall man.

We have spent billions of dollars focusing on Iraqi WMD/Nation Building crap instead of hunting down and capturing the mastermind accused of attacking us on our own soil.

Questions no one will ask:

What took so long?

Why hasn't anyone been fired for incompetence?

Questions I would Ask Today:

How will a Hail Mary Osama Capture make me any safer?

Will capturing Osama make the untold thousands of newly-spawned terrorists suddenly run away and hide?

Capturing Osama this close to the election?

So what?

2. The next time someone asks the Bush administration
Why hasn't anyone been fired for incompetence, it'll be the first time.

I like the way you think, but don't hold your breath. If Bush pulls Osama out of his ass next month (or more likely, recalls him from the Crawford pig farm), they'll fall all over each other trying to pronounce the most superative encomiums for the Dim Son.

4. Sadly, I think you're correct.
I just got pissed off this morning when Mary Matalin acted like "Oh, woe is me! We may never capture Osama!"

That sounded like a set up to me, paving the way for "Surprise! We caught Osama!" moment in the near future.

3. Osama won't be caught
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 10:02 AM by slavkomae
I'm starting to think he doesn't even exist. Well, I'm mostly kidding -- but there's no way that Osama will be caught, he is the perfect anthropomorphization of the "evildoers", and besides, who knows what kind of connections Osama still has with his family which has connections to the Bushies. Both Bush and Osama and related interests are the biggest profiteers from the "WOT". It's all a huge swindle. I doubt it he'll ever be caught.

5. Obviously you've overestimated places like
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 10:05 AM by HughBeaumont
Suth'uhn A-High-Ah (even though unemployment has hit that area HARD and Ohio itself has been simply slammed by job losses)
Texus
In-die-aner
The Virginnys
Most uf the Souf
Duh Plains states
Duhkotas
Idaslo and Mowntanner

The */>8S Cartel Cult will never . . . EVER think it was a set-up. They'll brush aside the fact that this should have been done for 3 1/2 years and call * a true American Hero.

What a sad, paranoid and stupid nation we live in.

10. Why, I expect either Bush walking on stage for the debates with
Osama being dragged on a chain OR all the networks breaking away from the debates to announce his capture. And the Amurekan people will yell "aweeesome" and believe it truly just coincidentally happened that way...........
