I was reading the Dallas Morning News nd a woman is quoted as saying she doesn't like either candidate.. Bush is bad on health care and the economy and she says she worries about Kerry's ability to fight terrorism..

Are you fucking kidding me?? 9-11 happened on Bush's watch you dumb asses!!


Iraq is now a mess, and Kerry stated that according to intelligence Saddam was not a threat we needed to go after right away..This is also Bush's fuck up..

If this is what you consider strong and steady leadership then please change what you are drinking.. Jesus Christ, do these people actually believe all the bullshit coming from the Bush camp about Kerry?? These people are too lazy to get informed, and then they believe what Bush says about Kerry even though he lied about the imminent threat of Iraq?

Bush has literally held only a handful of actual press conferences since he entered the White House, and some of those have been scripted events. The everybody-into-the-pool, auditorium- or briefing room-filling press conferences of the Clinton and first Bush era are a thing of the past.

I work for a wire service in Washington, D.C., and my co-workers and I sometimes speculate as to when the next Bush press conference will be. It's always with very little notice (I only hear about it the day it happens, with just a few hours' warning).

And tell them that people attending Bush events have to sign letters of support to get it. So much for "strong leadership."

And tell them that Bush has virtually nothing to do with the community in which he's living, at our expense, for four years. No one sees anything of him in the area surrounding Camp David, and it's pretty clear he doesn't care for DC or any of the surrounding areas. This is in huge contrast to the Clintons and Gores, who were at least visible in the community. I can still walk into Union Station and see stores displaying pictures of Clinton posing with salesclerks or browsing through merchandise.

We've seen how stories can be manufactured and LTTE's can seem to have the same yak points from one paper to another.

Looks like the MOTD of the Rove Machine is to exploit this perceived "female gap" crap they've manufactured...and what's a better way to do it than to roll out a "soccer mom/security mom" and say that an A-rab flying a box cutter into her small town is far more important than health care, education or the economy. It defies any real logic.

The more you're hearing this crap these days, the more it's showing how soft Bunnypant's own base is on his leadership. This is to cast more doubts on Kerry than on their own manchild and portray any criticism as personal rather than substansive.

The kharma train on this could really hit home if there's a bigger mess in Iraq, $2.50 a gallon gas and even greater unemployment in the next month. This regime is doing all it can to blur and distort. That's all they can do.

We'll see if this works or if people are smarter than Karl Rove & Karen Hughes think.

What's surprising is the ability of bush supporters to rally behind the following:

Clinton got a blow job and therefore was soft on terrorists (despite his efforts, blocked by Congress to pass stiff measures against terrorists).

And...

Don't you have any feelings for the 3,000 people who died on 9-11 or for their families.

Personally, I'm surprised I haven't killed anyone.

Franklin Roosevelt didn't run for re-election claiming Pearl Harbor was his finest hour. Abe Lincoln was a great president, but the high point of his second term wasn't theater security. 9/11 wasn't a triumph of the human spirit. It was a fuck-up by a guy on vacation.

Now, don't get me wrong, Mr. President. I'm not blaming you for 9/11. We have blue-ribbon commissions to do that. And I'm not saying there was anything improper about your immediate response to the attacks. Someone had to stay in that classroom and protect those kids from Chechen rebels.

But by the looks of your convention, you'd think that the worst thing that ever happened to us was the best thing that ever happened to you. You just can't keep celebrating the deadliest attack ever as if it's your personal rendezvous with greatness. You don't see old men who were shot down during World War II jumping out of a plane every year. I mean, other than your dad.

But even your dad didn't run for re-election based on a recession and his propensity to barf on the Japanese. Now, I know you'd like us all to get swept away with emotionalism and stop sweating the small stuff like the deficit and the environment, and focus on what's really important: how you look in a fireman's hat. But crying during your speech? I mean, come on! There's no crying in politics! It's not fair! That's a trick chicks use. How are we supposed to discuss this rationally if you're going to cry?! There's a name for people who exploit their participation in historical events for political gain. They're called the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

So I say, if you absolutely must win an election on the backs of dead people, do it like they do in Chicago, and have them actually vote for you.
