3 freeper talking heads on AM radio in OK City(All at the same time!)

I turn on my AM and the first guy I get is Rush.. Well Rush is doing his usual brainwashing..Liberals hate us because they can't push their ideology down our throats and they are getting angry, and we Will win blah blah blah, just took another oxycontin.. That seems to be the new repuke talking point.. All liberals are acting out of desperation..Than he introduces some 105 year old who quit smoking at 99, but can now smoke because people found out he could.t afford cigars and so they are sending them to him.. Havana's even..yadda yadda yadda...How do these people listen to this shit?


So I turn the dial and there is this guy ranting about how Kennedy was wrong to say what he said about the president.. It was just way to beneath a senator to say that we could be more likely to be attacked because of Bush..He forgets to mention that Bush and Cheney say this about Kerry everyday..I am willing to bet that he had no opinion when Cheney told a senator to fuck off.. I am sure tat was excusable.. I am sure all of Cheney's lies pointed out by a fucking comedian was never mentioned on his show. So I can't stand no more, so I once again turn the dial..


Another guy talking about how you need to call your senator and tell them to support the marriage amendment, and that liberals want the gays to get married, and then the whole world is going to go to hell..etc.etc.etc.. So he continues to rant and rage, it was really pathetic.


I turn the channel one last time. Finally a woman talking to a caller..What could this be about?? Oh shit, the guy is telling the woman that his church just had a teen get together, and he was so happy to help them out.. This is actually something I can handle.. At least it is not partial political speech..But here comes the next guy.. He thinks he is gay, but he wants to change, and of course she starts in on the your going to hell for sinning..etc.etc.etc... I can't handle listen to the guilt trip she is banging him with so I go to FM and get some ROck..


This is the sad part.. Not only does this have the ability to brainwash people, but I am sick of all the fear they try to instill in people.. From Jesus is coming soon on billboards, to all the other scare tactics they use( the terrorist), I am just about at my wits end.. So Jesus is coming..I say good.The sooner the better.We can finally clear up whether you are a judgmental screw up or not..

Or maybe not, but that's been the way it has been for as long as I can remember. A few morning personalities on FM at least pretend to be something other than Freeper Heads -- and I think a few are but are constrained by station officials. But that's the extent of it.

Off the topic, but I got so fed up this morning on the drive to work I had to turn it off and stick in a CD to wake me up. I got tired of all the callers wanting the head of that 911 operator that a local TV station crucified needlessly for the deaths of that family in the house fire.

3. Sorry I missed the Operator thing..

I paid my 7.00 in tolls on 44 and got myself to MO as fast as possible.. BTW I am willing to bet that besides NY, OKC has the highest tolls...I only paid 3 dollars to get into the fucking city of SF, and I had to pay 7 to get through OKlahoma? Are you kidding me?? I only hope that your educational system there is in the tops of the nation..

And don't get me started on the toll roads. We've got a freakin' TWO LANE toll turnpike running through the middle of nowhere that was supposedly going to shorten the route from certain parts of OK to Dallas. But, truckers won't use it because of how small it is -- and the fact it has been under construction constantly since it was first put down since the low-ball construction company didn't build it correctly. The thing doesn't even pay for itself.

I drove from OKC to VA awhile back. I paid more in tolls getting out of OKC than during the rest of the trip.

We have to charge that much. Otherwise everyone would leave. :-)

PS: The Operator Thing

I'm just venting a bit because this irritates me so. A whole family died in a house fire the other day. A woman, who was understandably hysterical, called 911, and the operator did what he was supposed to do and remained calm and tried to get information out of her. He also dispatched the fire trucks immediately. They didn't arrive in time.

Well, someone got ahold of the 911 tape, and the operator comes off rather badly because of his tone, but it was caused by the woman. First she just kept saying there was a fire on the porch. Okay, the operator thinks, send the trucks, but it's on the porch. Then, as she kept screaming, he realized something else was going on, so he kept asking her questions, forcefully, and she kept not answering them, so he got more forceful. He was never rude, but forceful, which is what he's supposed to be. At some point, she started choking, and that's when he realized she was in real trouble and so asked if the fire was *in* the house. She just kept choking and screaming, so he started yelling for her to get out of the house immediately.

The trucks arrived 7 minutes after the initial call, but they were all dead by then. People who heard the reply of the call, many of whom seemed not to realize that two operators work emergency calls, one on the phone, the other in contact with emergency crews, started blaming the operator for the deaths, saying he was rude, did't respond quickly, should have told her to get out sooner.

Anyway, I know no one is probably interested, but I feel better. That operator is probably agonizing over this, realizing he was talking to someone as they died, but there was simply nothing he could have done about it.

4. I love Air America!!

But I Can't get it in my car and from what I understand the satellite service it uses does not have the NFL PACkage, it is the other service that has that..So I have not been willing to drop the change for the satellite yet..

Sirius has the NFL package... it also has two liberal channels (one of which I think is Air America)

XM doesn't have an NFL package, and it has one liberal channel... XM doesn't carry every Air America show, and most of the ones it has are delayed broadcast so no chance to listen live. No Mike Malloy, and I think Randi comes on at night... my wife has XM in her car but I rarely get to listen to it.

7. Sirius has NFL AND Air America.

I used it for Air America myself, could care less about NFL, but one of their key selling points is they carry EVERY NFL GAME. Hell, they even sell a receiver that's designed to make it easier for finding games you want to hear and shows scores and whatnot on the screen :).
