Swiftboat Ads John Kerry's Dean Scream Speech?

Many people have been critical of Kerry for letting this go on too long before he fought back, but I'm not one of those people.

Think of it - The K/E campaign had document after document backing his accounts of what happened in Vietnam. Then he had actual eye witnesses that disputed what the Swift Liars were saying. Then you throw in Kerry volunteered for combat versus a jackass who hid behind any pant legs he could find.

So, why is it a surprise that K/E's thought this story would not gather any traction?

So this really was a media created event just like the Dean "scream" speech.

We need to work on something here to improve the media - kick around some ideas and such.

For example, would it be better to create a sort of DU-like PAC for emailing media outlets? I mean, sure, it's good to fill some idiot media personalities emailbox, but how many of them are read? Would it be better for them to receive an mail from a place like DU when it represents thousands of concerned democrats?

I expected them to be.

BUT of course the media shedded any sense of fairness and went crazy, even worse than the Dean scream to try and destroy Kerry. Media was showing the ads before they even came out it got that sad.
