1. I swear I don't think
anyone really knows what is going to happen, barring any dirty GOP election tricks.

I've been hearing a lot of talk about voter registration being up in TX. We don't register with any party affiliation, but they seem to be up in CITIES, which bodes well for Kerry and the Dems here. If voter reg were up in rural counties I'd be worried.

So TX might be pink.

It's enough to make your head spin.

I still think Kerry will win.

2. Just flawed, small sample polls - not important
The campaigns have much better internal polling and will have a good idea where to put energy. The Kerry camp now has Stan Greenberg on board, arguably the most insightful political pollster in history. We the public never really get to see these private polls. We are stuck with the crapola that comes from Gallop and the like.

3. New Hampshire was red last time
It was the only New England state to go for Bush. New Jersey has the rather ugly issue with the Democratic governor right now, which I am sure is affecting the presidential race as well.

Maine and Minnesota - well, your guess is as good as mine! I really don't know why those two would be so close.

Southern states are tough nuts to crack, not that it can't happen. Louisiana SHOULD be in play, but I recently read that the Kerry camp was pulling out of there along with Arkansas.

7. Holy Shit! MS is in play?!?
Edited on Mon Sep-27-04 11:25 PM by Melodybe
A sign that my hard work is paying off, I swear to god, that MS could actually go blue!

We are a paper ballot state, all of our votes will be on white paper with sharpie markers.

People here are pissed, Haley Barbour has dicked over a lot of people. 65,000 cut off of their much needed medicare. No one down here can afford the meds, I've heard some pretty sad stories. Die hard middle class republicans are feeling a big hurt on their wallets, and they are mad at Bush for making us broke and sending our soldiers to die.

The war is affecting a lot of people here.

Mississippi is in play! I am so proud.
