So Bush is A Cowboy? Really?
So has anybody ever seen a picture of the shrub mounted on a horse? Even one of those little ponies from the fair? This is so confusing to me:

Claims to be a cowboy, but has never ridden a horse.

Claims people rather have a beer with him than Kerry, but he's on the wagon.

Says he's a Texan, but was born in Connecticut.

Claims to be a war hero, but weaseled his way into the Texas ANG to avoid going to Vietnam.

His sins were forgiven when he was born again, but mocked a woman in death row when she found Jesus, and fried her anyway.

Is this the kind of two faced son of a bitch we want in the White House?

I'd tell him to ride off into the sunset, but he would not know how.

washington post's photos archieves. Other than that photo, I have never seen the idiot on a horse. The word is he is afraid of them (and flying and the truth, but gee, he is the War President).

Maybe the pony bit him or maybe it threw him and he flew in the air and thus the beginning of his fear of flying and his hate for horses!

4. Horses are good judges of character,
or so I've been told. They also sense cruelty. Go figure.

5. Horses also sense fear and * is afraid of everything...
his paranoia is unbelievable. See my earlier post - I edited it to include the only photo that I know of with * on a pony.

10. Horses are living bullshit detectors
They sense fear and will take advantage of it. They also have something of a sense of justice. Horses like a kind but firm handler. They have no respect for wimps but thay hate and fear bullies. I've seen horses seemingly put up with the abuse only to wait for the right moment for revenge. When it happens it's fast, devestating and usually humiliating. I knew one horse who knew the location of every low hanging branch along the trail. Any rider who did not treat him with respect was bound to end up on the ground with a long walk home.

You can tell by my outfit that I am a cowboy.
I can tell by your outfit that you are one, too.
You can tell by our outfits that we are both cowboys.
If you get an outfit, you can be a cowboy, too.

Bonus points: In what movie was this little ditty sung with a heavy Italian accent? :)

14. I heard the Smothers Brothers sing that song
way back in the 70s on their TV show. I always thought it was pretty funny, especially the way Tommy sang it.

8. I am from CT....
And I am more of a cowboy (or rather, cowgirl) than Bushie. Interesting isn't it? His Southern accent and all. Jeb is younger than him so when they moved he was younger which means he should have picked up more of a Texas accent than Shrub. But Jeb doesn't have an accent.

15. Jeb was actually born in Texas
I'm from Connecticut, too, not far from New Haven. I grew up there in the 1950s and never once heard anyone talk about any Bush, even Prescott. Apparently, no one had any love for the Bushes. I shook hands once with Abe Ribicoff when he was running for office around 1960.

I remember how when Poppy was voted out of office and how the media speculated on where he would go. He didn't seem to belong anywhere. Except for the summer place in Maine (that he only owned since he was Ron's VP), no one really knew who this guy was or where he came from, even after being in office for four years. He said he was building a house on a plot of land he owned in Houston. He did, although everyone doubted the plot was big enough.

12. Have you heard the one about the three doctors tell their most
important cases.
First doctor said he had a case where a man had several fingers cut of, his operation was so successful the man was now a concert pianist.
Second doctor said he had a case were the man lost both his legs, his operation was so successful that the man became a winner in a decathalon race.
The third doctor said that's nothing I had a case where a cowboy riding his horse was hit by a train, I took the horses ass and the cowboy hat and that man is the president.

13. I always find this irritating
All the talk about Bush going to his "ranch." A ranch is a place where cattle are raised to go to market. Bush does not have a ranch, he has a house with a big yard.
A cowboy? My ass, a cowboy is a laborer on a ranch. A real cowboy does more work in a week than Bush has done in his entire life.
