PBS Frontline episodes.....
It looks like Frontline has a documentary coming up on Oct 26 that might impact the election. It is titled "Rumsfeld's War".

Also, at http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/view/

it says you can view video streams of Frontline documentaries.

I strongly suggest "Truth, War and Consequences" and "The War Behind Closed Doors." These are two wonderful documentaries.

1. Frontline is great...
For years they've brought out thorough, tough, uncompromising documentaries on subjects the networks wouldn't touch. Their treatment of this effed-up administration and its vanity war has been great!

10. Wasn't that just the best?
I was haunted by it for weeks after watching it. Wish every citizen of this country would watch it. Every time I see a picture of the WTC, I think of John. And how on the night before 9-11, he sat in a NYC restaurant, telling a friend that he didn't know what they'd do, but that Al Qaeda was going to hit soon. Little did he know. And I wonder what was running though his head after the WTC was hit. Oh how we needed that man. sigh....

12. Yes! he KNEW!
My guess is that is WHY he took the job. O'Neil & Clark knew for a long time. That's why BOTH were freezed out. I agree everyone should see it. I have sent it to many people. How different the dialogue would be IF he had lived.......sigh....sigh

PNAC, the Project for the New American Century, is the reason we're in Iraq. The neocons ... including all the top people in the Bush Admin, including Cheney, had a plan for invading Iraq for their own selfish self-interest way back in 1998!

I first heard about it in March 2003 on "Nightline," and PNAC member Bill Kristol admitted it on that broadcast, and said he would feel responsible when the Iraq war started. If it had been properly publicized at that time, we might not be in the mess we're in!

Here's the Web site about that Nightline broadcast

http://www.abcnews.go.com/sections/nightline/DailyNews/pnac_030310.html

Note this paragraph from that description:

"... And in a report just before the 2000 election that would bring Bush to power, the group predicted that the shift would come about slowly, unless there were "some catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor." ... "

A NEW PEARL HARBOR? When I heard that -- "predicted" back in 2000 -- I knew we were screwed.

Any wonder that Richard Clarke has repeatedly said that, on Sept. 12, 2001, no one wanted to talk about al-Qaeda in Afghanistan ... the Bushies all wanted to talk about nothing but IRAQ! Do the math, you lazy American journalists!

Here's a Sunday Herald article about it....

Bush planned Iraq 'regime change' before becoming President

And here's the PNAC site:

7. Thanks for that...I have some reading to do
But, in your opinion, what does Iraq have to do with it; is it to spread democracy? If so, that will never? happen.

Thanks again.

11. Daddy bush at least admitted Gulf War 1991 was about oil
Poland had the "decency" to admit they support bush's (attempted) conquering of Iraq solely for the oil.

What does PNAC have to do with Iraq?

In a word...OIL.

Preventing any enemies from conquering Iraq's oil reserves (ie China, who have no oil of their own and must import; keep oil from China, and they're helpless, as in no threat to us) and of course the usual republican party agenda; big bucks for the rightwing big corp elite from the war machine.

Read cheney's, rummy's et al letter to Clinton in 1998.

Funny coincidence how most the entire bushCartel come from oil backgrounds...

8. October 26?!?!?!?
Couldn't it come a little later??? ... so as not to disrupt the countdown to the coronation of that stupid fratboy/cowboy?

I've always loved Frontline, too, but it seems like they could get this one on the road a little sooner.

I realize only a few people will watch it, and certainly none of the Freeptypes, but in order to be significant, a report like that has to be timely.

9. Did anyone see the one that showed we were on the wrong side in Vietnam?
I saw it once and it was really convincing. It showed how we backed the oppressors and terrorists rather than the people who had asked for our help.
