1. Just shows that SVET LIES WORKED. Kerry truth does not get through.
Not worth watching otherwise.

2. Shows that the voting public is ....
lazy, not paying attention, and in some cases just plain stupid.

I have watched several of Peter's focus groups over the last year and some of his participants are NOT well informed. Back during the primaries he was showing pictures of the Dem candidates and none could name all nine candidates. I have continually been amazed over the years just how uninformed voters are on their options and how they want to be spoon fed by the media whores.

3. Makes you wonder....
where they do find these people. Guess maybe there is something to the idea that a lot of people don't start following the election until late.

But after watching this, it might be a reflection of how the "undecided" voters will break (and from the sounds of these people it looks good for Kerry).

4. yes, they tend to
be very poorly informed--but what do you expect from a person who is undecided at this point in the race? Seriously, I encounter people every single day who make the people in these focus group look like a bunch of mensa members. Unfortunately, it is our burden to have to reach these people. I say unfortunately because they are quite difficult to deal with since their heads are not in this. But they are going to vote for someone. So we have to learn how to reach them.

Even more unfortunately, Bushes simplistic and folksie approach DOES seem to work with these people. We need to figure out a way to reach them even more effectively than he does. We cannot afford to lose people this race is too important.

5. These things always irritate me.
Guess I'm an elitest to think there should be the slightest bit of coherent logic or at least a smidgeon of effort behind the thinking processes of people....it's all vague impressions and repeated "conventional wisdom" talking points that folks use in lieue of a real thought out opinion.

THIS is one of the reasons dems should remember to share info with some positive enthusiasm about the candidate. NOT the "..well kerry is only so-so, but better than bush, sigh..." BS that fair-weather supporters so often come up with.
