In retrospect, the Bush press conf. was a masterpiece in soundbites
Edited on Thu Sep-23-04 09:51 PM by dumpster_baby

Man, listening to those soundbites of the Bush press conference this afternoon that Malloy is playing on AAR right now, I can now see that the Bush press conference this afternoon was a masterpiece--IF you just heard the soundbites or saw short clips. And that is just what most Americans will see of it.

Because the words Bush used were so very well chosen, and Bush's phraseology--as clumsily delivered as it sounds when listened to as a whole--when listened to in a short burst, his phraseology is so terse and succinct that he successfully delivers the desired impression over and over again. The few words he uses are like guided missiles, and delivered in a FAKE accent, are very effective for his intended audience, and even more effective for their brevity.

Wow. We are really up against it here.

1. Sure would have been nice if the moron had........................
answered the questions asked!!!!!!!!!! And it would have been nice, too, if he had not gone off inventing more words like "suiciders".

2. It's NLP mastery
Bush & Cheney use the sound bites to communicate subliminal messages of fear if you don't keep me in power.

6. potential kerry talking point--Bush==Style; kerry == substance
maybe kerry should try to cast this race as style vs substance. Maybe the American people are starting to get a hint of this contrast already....
