DeGenova on Wolfie pushing a federal investigation of TANG "forged" memos.
Trying to keep this story alive. We can't talk about the issues that matter to the America people, after all.

Makes me think they somehow set up Burkett and CBS--that, or Burkett is nuts.

James Moore, coauthor of "Bush's Brain" has, in the past had a high opinion of Burkett's word. I sure would like to know what his thoughts are on this fiasco.

1. Joe DeGenova reminds me of a mob mouthpiece,
completely comfortable saying the most ridiculous things about his guilty as hell client. Hell, in this case it fits perfectly. He and his wife could not be any more partisan. A special prosecutor for the CBS document flap!!! How inane can one get?

2. The documents are a repub thing that's why they are making a big stink
about. It's the same as a new murder trial, news to take the debate away from Bush's failure in Iraq. They started it and they will keep it up as long as people will pay attention to it. We need to prove that they started it then it will stop.

3. He wasn't just trying to keep the story alive
Wolf was pimping to keep the story alive. The Dem guy kept trying to say either a) what about the SOTU speech? Isn't that a forged memo? or b) what about Iraq? Isn't that just as important.

Wolf would have none of it.

Today is the first time I've watched CNN in weeks. Between Woodruff and Wolf, I'm done. Thanks. No more.

4. I got burned out on Joe de Genova and his wife way back during OJ -
24 hour cable has outlived its usefulness. Back during the Persian Gulf War, we were glued to our sets watching CNN and believing every pearl of info.

CNN pimped itself out of the 'journalism' category as far as I'm concerned and is now nothing more than filler and info-tainment.

6. Sure, after they finish investigating the Niger Forgeries
and why Bush used documents that he knew were forged for the SOTU.

7. Reasons to get hung up with history....
can't ask where the DOD billions went.
can't ask the status of justice regarding the Niger forged documents.
can't allow people to get educated about Diebold, ES & S and Sequoia.
can't allow prison details to be discussed.
can't ask why we're failing in Iraq.
can't ask whether our soldiers have the right equipment by now.

Have we all become sucked in?

The minute things get too hot in the trail of the documents, we'll have another diversion.
Maybe even the Cat Stephens diversion was a diversion of sorts.

Please add to or prioritize the list.
