Why you need to vote early

Please vote early if your state allows it. If you have voted, then the GOTV teams do not have to call you and it saves time. If you don't want to (or can't in your state) vote absentee or go to the Registrar and vote early, please plan on voting in the morning before work. The sooner you vote, the less phone calls Dem volunteers have to make.

And yes, I'm posting this many more times as the election nears. It's important.

Get them, use them. Spend November 2nd driving people to the polls or on the phone calling. Don't wait folks this is a big one. At the caucuses I heard more than a dozen times... "This is the most important election since Vietnam" It is!

Thanks to political timidity by Jimmy Carter on the Carter-Ford Commission, there are very few national standards or even guidelines for electoral administration, even after Florida 2000. The rules for early voting vary not only by state but by county within state.
