Cool.

He's going to meet with troops at an AFB and make a short speech!

1. At approx 5:30pm.
Last weak at the Tribal Leaders Summit, he was asked by a leader from Alaska when he was coming for a visit. He joked something along the lines of, "Oh! I'm coming, make no mistake about it! But not any time soon! I'm going to wait until summer!"

This pit-stop was added to the schedule the next day. ;)

3. Good. Last week it was planned for him to be there yesterday and
celebrate Veteran's Day at the base. Then plans changed because of the Ft Hood memorial service...I'm glad he's still able to make a visit to Alaska.

6. This is unfortunately a closed appearance.
I find it notable that our current governor is too "busy" to greet the president. I had hoped that he would be a little more gracious than SP, but apparently not. Apparently, our mayor Dan Sullivan was shamed into attending, and, of course, Mark Begich will be there, but Lisa Murkowski and Don Young also are too "busy" to attend.
