9. I demanded Tweety's resignation a few days ago in an e-mail to him

regarding the "who gives a rat's ass" remark about Bush's desertion from the TANG and when Matthews nonetheless continued criticizing Kerry's Vietnam service the very next night.

The giant talking Tweety head no longer exists as far as I'm concerned. I will never watch that show again, nor will I even complain to BS-NBC about him, as I don't want them to think I'm still watching.

but after the Zell incident, he heard that he would never get
another Rethuglican politico on his show, ever. He even eluded
to this on the Daily Show interview. Since then, he has been
shilling for the right just like before. They have an effective
tool in controlling the media, guys like Tweety, in that he
HAS to have access to the power people (chairs of committees,
members of the administration). When the rethuglicans called him
after the Zell meltdown and told him that if he didn't shape up,
he would never get another rethug guest, he pissed his pants and
is now shilling just as hard as he can. Sad really. Before, when
there wasn't this huge RW slant to cable News and Weekend shows,
all politicians craved exposure, so they would go to whoever has
eyeballs watching. Now, with Faux and CNN and the rest being their
lapdogs, the rethuglicans can play "Hardball" with the talk shows...
you either toe the line or you don't get guests... and if you don't
get the "important guests" (the theory is), then your ratings will
go down (No Colin, Condi, Rumy, or Cheney, no Hastert, no McCain,
nobody)... that's a simple but effective tool to cause Tweety
(and many other) hosts to shill and shill and shill.
