Essay: Steve Fraser on the Crisis of Capitalism
http://www.truthdig.com/arts_culture/page2/20091105_steve_fraser_on_the_crisis_of_capitalism/

"The first 100 days (now as I write the first 200 days and counting) of the Obama administration are a failure."...

"On every major issue from health insurance to financial regulation, from energy policy to foreign policy, from economic recovery to labor law reform, the new regime and its sizable majority in Congress equivocate, seek allies on the right where there are none, and convey a sense of paralysis."

3. Remember Clinton's early days in office
The economy was in the tank. It took at least 2 years to clean up the Reagan/Bush econ mess. Most of Clinton's years were good years, not perfect but so much sweeter than during Any Repub leading our country. The R's tried valiantly to bury Clinton, so his presidency was difficult. It's like history repeating itself. The R's this time are truly raging maniacs. There was a sense of stability in the country. Not so with repubs. Now Obama is dealing with an even bigger mess. Ugh.
