Tommy Thompson Is Leading Candidate For Governor
MILWAUKEE -- A new poll shows Tommy Thompson as the leading candidate in the race for governor and he has not even declared his candidacy.

For months, Thompson has hinted that he might be considering another run for governor, but a lot of people are left wondering whether he has been serious or not.

On Thursday, in an exclusive interview with WISN 12 News Mike Gousha, Thompson talked about the change that he thinks is needed in Madison and he insisted that he is very seriously thinking about getting into the race for governor.

Tommy Thompson: "It needs, I think a steady hand and I hope than a Republican is in that office in the future."

Mike Gousha: "That Republican I take it would not be you, you're not going to run for governor?"

Tommy Thompson: "Oh I have never said that Mike. I don't know what you're jumping to some conclusion there. I haven't said yes, I haven't said no. I'm still looking at it and I'm listening."

Mike Gousha: "So you're still looking at it? You're still giving it serious consideration?"

5. When he left DHHS under Bush he said he had too many bosses..
paraphrasing--but my point is he likes to be in charge. Governorship is more his style.

2. I'll scream if we get a fifth term of Tommy.
I honestly don't know why he is so damn popular here because he is the one who left us the fiscal disaser that Doyle eventually had to deal with.

4. He always looked & sounded like such a dipstick when he was in the Prez
debates. I don't live in Wi. but I hope for a better Governor for you than he would be.
